Selling sterling silver jewelry has it’s rewards…Leadership Conference in Ponte Vedra, FL

The perks! Leadership Conference in Ponte Vedra, FL

I recently had the honor of attending Leadership conference for my accomplishments in selling this beautiful jewelry. Yes, I earned a trip just for doing something I absolutely love! I’ve been able to reach some of my financial goals and am tucking away a nest egg for when my son goes off to college (5 yrs will fly by before you know it)!

My goal is to have my part-time passion earn me full time pay! It’s a great opportunity for someone wanting to re-enter the work force or at stay-at-home mom looking for some extra cash. Even if you’re someone like myself, working another full time job, but also working towards your dream, then this is the opportunity for you.

Sold primarily through at home parties, you book parties when it’s convenient and work when you want. It’s “your” business. For detailed information on becoming a representative or to receive a catalog, just email me.

Below was the view from my room……..

Fundraising- wrapping paper vs. sterling silver jewelry!

February 23rd, 2008 by Robin

How many times has your child brought home a catalog filled with overpriced chocolate and wrapping paper for a school fundraiser? Internally you cringe, but whatcha’ gonna do?! Not only do you have to buy,  you have to solicit friends, coworkers and family so they too can buy items they don’t really need or want……all to support your child’s school.

While fundraising is certainly needed in our schools as well as for other worthy charities and organizations, the kind of fundraiser makes all the difference. Why not do a fundraiser selling beautiful sterling silver jewelry? Not only will your loved ones be purchasing quality hand crafted sterling silver, you’ll be raising money for your favorite cause.

I recently participated in a fundraiser for the MS Society of Eastern NC and participated in a fundraiser for the Duke Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Family Support Program last fall. What a wonderful feeling to donate to such worthy causes selling something people will enjoy wearing!! For more details on selling sterling silver jewelry for your next fundraiser or to receive a catalog, email me at silversellabration@gmail.com.

I’m baaaack!!!

February 16th, 2008 by Robin

Ok, had to take a brief hiatus. Life got really busy when the New Year rang in! Also, I wanted to take a step back and figure out how I wanted my site to evolve. So, now that I have a little bit better direction, I’m ready to go!

Speaking of going, I’m headed off to Leadership Conference tomorrow. Boy, selling sterling silver jewelry pays off! I’ll be attending an all expenses paid conference learning how to be a better leader so I can help the awesome ladies on my team grow their business the way they’d like.

So, of course I had to treat myself to a mani and pedi. With the peep toed shoes already packed, not having cute toes is simply not an option! I chose this really fabulous color by OPI called Nice Hands, Great Nails! Then I had to choose just the right outfits to go with my jewelry (yes, that’s exactly what I meant)! Once I’d found the perfect jacket to compliment my favorite oxidized silver long chain link necklace, I was good to go!

When I return be on the lookout for some fun pics, new entries and lots more info on how it’s possible to get paid and have fun adorning the world in beautiful sterling silver jewelry! Until next time!

Reflection

December 31st, 2007 by Robin

On the Eve of the New Year I find myself looking back on 2007. To reflect means “to think over, meditate, to ponder”.  Ironically, reflect also means “to shine, to cast light, to sparkle“. So, as I sit back and look at all the wonderful things that have transpired this year, family support & encouragement, lessons learned, new places seen, friends made….and I can’t help but smile and think of the sparkle in my life.

I’ve promoted to “Star Leader”within the ranks of my jewelry business. This is an accomplishment to be sure as it’s only been a year I’ve been working my business, and part-time at that. It just shows me that everything I want is within my reach. I just have to keep being consistent, persistent and keep reaching until it’s in my grasp.

Make no mistake, I recognize that I am a part of a great team of women all working to make their businesses thrive. I’ve learned much from my mentor, and now it is I that must mentor those under me. My wish is to see them shine as brightly as the beautiful sterling silver in which we adorn our hostesses and customers. The goal is to see them cast light on others interested in developing their own business. If I’m able to accomplish that, then I’ll continue to smile when I look at my reflection in the mirror knowing that I’ve shared my sparkle with others!

Best wishes for a spectacular 2008!!!

Living your dreams

December 11th, 2007 by Robin

Today I had lunch with an old friend/colleague. We worked together many years ago. We lost touch for awhile and one day I received an email from her telling me she had embarked on a new and exciting endeavor.

Dana Tucker informed me that she was the new Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of  “How We Live” magazine. The magazine showcases African American homes, decor, style and careers. I was impressed by her energy and enthusiasm and was sure she would be successful.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled across her original email and clicked on the link to her site. What I found was a thriving, sharp, and very stylish magazine. With just shy of about 200,000 readers from all over the world and growing, Dana is living her dream. I encourage you all to visit the link above. Take a look around the website and if you are so inclined, subscribe to this magazine. I did.

Dreams can be a beautiful thing. Making those dreams a reality is absolutely breathtaking….  Kudos to you Dana!!!

Make that little black dress sparkle!

December 2nd, 2007 by Robin

‘Tis the season for holiday parties, some planned, some impromptu. Why not dress up an otherwise basic black dress (even if it’s the same one you wore last year) with a bit of sparkle? Sterling silver necklaces layered in an interesting graduated manner, give simple necklines pizzazz! And just for fun, why not add a really great cocktail ring in a burst of color! Use your imagination and have fun with it! You’ll be guaranteed to catch eyes and turn heads!

Want some suggestions? I’ve got just the perfect pieces in mind! Email me at silversellabration@gmail.com and I’ll send you the link to what all the ladie’s will be wearing this holiday season!

Giving Thanks….

November 19th, 2007 by Robin

Upon a recent trip to the grocery store to pick up last minute items for my Thanksgiving dinner, the checkout clerk asked if I wanted to donate 4.99 for a food box for someone in need. I’ve made similar donations before and donate to Goodwill and other worthwhile organizations, but this was different. I said, “Yes, of course I’ll donate.” In that instant, I was immediately overcome with emotion and my eyes started to well with tears. I made a mad scramble trying to get out of the store as I was a bit startled by my own tears and didn’t want the clerk to think I was having some sort of a holiday meltdown.

The reality of the situation was that I reflected on the fact that I’m so incredibly fortunate and blessed. Though I’m busy being a full-time single mom, working full time and having the time of my life adorning women everywhere in sterling silver part-time…..I am practically rich! I have an amazing son, wonderful family & friends , even a really lovable dog (woman’s best friend)! I am healthy, happy and have the opportunity to pursue my dreams and make them a reality. All these things are definitely worth happy tears and then some….

Happy Thanksgiving to you all…
